We've discussed having a party hosted here at
hd_level_two for the premiere of our first episode. We'll be re-watching The Half-Blood Prince, so everyone should search their video cabinets for their dvd copies. There will be a squee post just before we start watching the movie.
As community members come from all over the world, we would like to know what the best time for everyone is for this virtual meet-up.
Please fill out this short poll. Thank you! ♥
[Poll #1931998]
So that you wouldn't have to look up your time zones I tried to put as many up here as possible, which makes this hard to read. It is formatted like [start time for California - New York] to [end time for California - New York], [start time for UK] to [end time for UK], [start time for Perth - Sydney] to [end time for Perth - Sydney]
Since the US has four time zone and AUS has three times zones, I was showing the time difference for them all. I hope this makes it easier to read.
If all of that is still confusing grab the UK time and here's this map. If you live somewhere that does not have daylight savings time, these were written as though we were all on the same time schedule so you'd need to subtract an hour.
To make them easier to read the GMT times:
1. 10PM
2. 12AM
3. 2PM
4. 4PM
The movie is two and half hours long.

Date: 2013-09-01 11:25 pm (UTC)8:30am-11:30pm is it starting at 8:30 pm or ending at 11:30 am, this doesn't look right.
Also, whatever is picked, I can prob. manipulate my life around it. :D

Date: 2013-09-01 11:29 pm (UTC)OH NO, that was a typo- basically this is a two and half hour movie and I wanted people to see in times how long it would be going on; as in you might think oh, midnight is fine, but staying up to 3 AM is a no.
That is 8:30am in California - 11:30am in New York is the time it would end. They are end times for different places. But that pm was a typo...it won't let me fix that though.

Date: 2013-09-02 09:26 am (UTC)The abbreviations have me so lost I've never been able to use a time zone converter. We are in the middle of day light savings time right now, so no one is on EST it would be EDT if you use the converter, I think that is how it works.
Though I see Romaine answered your question on their general names.
IF her answers didn't help, then take the UK times which is GMT, UTC 0, but I think they are on BST right now for the converter.
Say your time zone is EST/EDT for summer, then these are the times:
1. 5pm - 7:30pm
2. 7pm - 9:30pm
3. 9am - 11:30pm
4. 11am - 1:30pm
